Justine Ecker

Writer

Meet Justine, the plant-loving writer of our articles here at Pollenate.io! A lifelong plant and nature enthusiast, Justine has been a gardener all of her life. As a young child, her interest in plants was sparked while tending her family’s small home garden. She found great joy in each part of the process, from prepping, weeding, and planting to watering, pruning, and even designing. Eventually, Justine transformed her favorite hobby into a professional career path, volunteering with NYC Parks projects, working at a couple of plant nurseries, and becoming an Assistant Gardener at Queens Botanical Garden in New York City. She has also been pursing two Horticulture certificates from the New York Botanical Garden, one in Sustainable Garden Design and the other, in Plant Production. Currently, in addition to creating content on our site, Justine develops and leads gardening programs at one of New York’s Charter Schools, providing hands-on activities for students grades K-3! Above all, Justine loves learning and teaching about how amazing gardening is, both as a hobby and as an avenue towards a more sustainable future. Through our work, she hopes to help create a happier, healthier, plantier world for generations to come!
